In his early years, Carl Bistrack started as a studio photographer, became a cinematographer, and then a film producer for over 30 years -but always a sailor. Carl spent as much time as he could sailing and being on or near the water. And, then digital photography came along in his later years. He finally picked up a camera again. Story-telling became his mode of visual media. He has to build a visual tale piece-by-piece to explain what he sees. Some make sense, some nonsensical, but always a story.
Carl's photo canvas work resides on many walls both in galleries and homes. Though just starting his work in the past 6 years, he’s garnered awards and notice. “Clams,” as he never expected, was chosen out of a 3000 art piece submission to the Elder Gallery Charlotte, NC holding a 117 piece exhibit. It continues to receive 1000’s of media hits. “Clams” is exhibited at the Cameron Art Museum, Wilmington NC through July 2018. “ Halloween Hurricane” was chosen 6th place out of nationwide 707 pieces submitted for a 125 piece Landscape Exhibit through Maryland Federation of Art, Annapolis Maryland. Carls’ range of work is getting its share of acclamation. His work covers other areas such as modern art food visuals.
